About Paws Swim Therapy

Our Mission

Our Mission at Paws Swim Therapy is to help rehabilitate your canine companion to the best of our ability through hydrotherapy.

Since 2010!

Paws Swim Therapy is located, 25 minutes south-west of Barrie at 180 Parsons Road, Unit #12 in Alliston, Ontario.  It is the first Canine Hydrotherapy Centre in Simcoe County offering an 8’x16’warm salt water pool aiding in the rehabilitation for dogs since 2010.

We provide a safe, loving, relaxing environment for you and your canine friend to enjoy. Our above ground fiberglass pool is accessible by a ramp onto a deck with gradual steps into the water. Our facility is equipped with a U-Wash dog station along with a K9 blow dryer.  All appointments are one-on-one sessions with the canine hydrotherapist.

Depending on the health, wellness and behaviour of your dog during each session the time can vary, so please plan on being with us for at least an hour each visit.

Please ask your veterinarian for a referral to ensure that hydrotherapy is right for your dog.

What is Hydrotherapy?

Hydrotherapy is the controlled use of buoyancy and resistance of water for therapeutic reasons.  The warm water and weightlessness of the dog relieves the pressure on the joints and allows the muscles to relax.  Resistance of the water increases range of motion.  The immediate benefits of hydrotherapy techniques help to relieve pain while strengthening and retraining muscles.

Our Philosophy

We feel it is important to exceed our client’s expectations when it comes to their experience at Paws Swim Therapy. We want to establish and build connections to make this a go-to hub for all things to do with rehab and wellness.

Our Organization

Physical rehabilitation, an integral part of the human injury recovery regimen for decades, is now available to dogs that suffer from similar types of injuries and disorders. Swim therapy can benefit your dog in many ways.

Sense of Community

We love our community, and feel that it is important for us to be a friendly, familiar face in Alliston. We love to support other local animal related businesses and events within the Simcoe County area.
